Anthony Boudain, Take me with you.

I'm heart broken. Anthony Boudain goes to Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico all without me. I can only sit quietly in the living room each day waiting for him to appear on No Reservations. How fair is that? Yes, I don't deny the fact that he is a charming old man, and not to mention with really long limbs, but it is his dry and quirky humour that got me hooked. Anyway, that's beside the point. I am so hooked by the spanish culture. And yes, I have a spanish name. The BoyFriend joked about how my parents must be having pot in spain and decided to give their daughter a spanish name to begin with. Thank you very much.

Which explains all the recent Mo-Gee-Tos, Paella and salsa. I'm so love with the music that I risked being thrown out of the house. And, wait till you hear this, I think I had picked up some awesome salsa moves while watching No reservations. Nope, Anthony can't dance to save his life but the ladies are fantastic. And yes, I used them on the dance floor, while dancing to Hindi music. Oh and the geek in me googled on the histories of these states, and yes, they were all some point of time ruled by the Reino de España. Awesome.

Apparently, of the 11 million population, 1% is chinese. Whom were descended from the labourers who arrived in the 19th century to build rails and dig mines. And after the Industrial Revolution, they could not afford to the return passage to china. This picture on the left, is a Cuban Chinese girl. Can you believe it? She doesn't look chinese to me. Chinese looks like ..... er me. Or Lucy Liu, well actually Lucy Liu doesn't look chinese, she looks like a snake. And I thought I can blend into the crowd and not stick out like a sore thumb.

I can't take it anymore, I am going to make one of them my travel destination either end of the year or early next year. With or without Boudain.
